We likewise invite you to visit various sites which speak of the connection between abortion and breast cancer http://www.abortionbreastcancer.com/ , including that of Dr. Joel Brind http://www.abortioncancer.com/ . Also, read about the potential legal liability of abortion providers who do not inform women about the prospect of increased risk for breast cancer following an induced abortion: www.johnkindley.com.

Breast Cancer link

Much of the health concern today for women who have had an abortion centers on the increased risk of developing breast cancer.

Although no one is saying abortion causes breast cancer, the statistics reflect a trend that cannot be ignored.

Since the legalization of abortion in 1973 (and the subsequent increase in abortions), the incidence of breast cancer in women has increased by more than 40 percent, and according to recent data released by the American Cancer Society, this cancer now ranks as a leading cause of death in African American women.

Similarly, information obtained from the Johns Hopkins Breast Center medical research website (February 2003), states that African American women under age 35 are disproportionately affected by breast cancer. This echoes the findings in a study from 10 years prior by Howard University, which also found African American women at increased odds for the disease if they had a history of induced abortions.

Could there be a connection between the incidence of abortion and the development of this disease?

Though many will argue the validity of this claim, medical / research groups such as the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, The Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, the National Physicians Center for Family Resources and others substantiate the claim as medically sound and documented by in-depth research results.

When abortion on demand was legalized in 1973, the general opinion was that abortion would serve as a harmless and effective means for a woman to control her rights to reproduction, and women have been encouraged to use this alternative when faced with the challenges of an unwanted pregnancy.

New information obtained from the post-abortive studies tell us, to the contrary, that this is in fact a harmful and extremely costly alternative when we consider the psychological and physical risks involved with receiving an induced abortion. As these studies reveal, abortion is not only a matter of life or death for the unborn child, but quite possibly also for the mother. And the numbers, as they continue to multiply ever so quietly, sounds the alarm of a holocaust in Black America.

And we’re not talking about it?

Its expansion is strong and far-reaching, but not inevitable. Here are a few ways to halt the advance of chemical abortion in the U.S. and in countries far and wide.

Strategy 1: Tell the Truth about the Baby

The first and fundamental argument advanced by abortion’s advocates is to try to deny the humanity of the unborn child, to claim that he or she is nothing but an undifferentiated “blob of tissue,” something that can be clipped off or cut out and tossed in the trash like a fingernail or an inflamed appendix.

When chemical abortion was first coming out, we tried to speculate what the overall effect would be. Now LifeSiteNews is featuring a comprehensive analysis from National Right to Life, of the causes and effects of RU-486.

One of the upshots is, that women victimized by chemical abortion are in one way, actually more traumatized, because they more immediately see the direct results of their action without abortion professionals present to provide disinformation and misinterpret their prognosis.

Therefore, as predicted at the time RU-486 was first rolled-out, there is a great, unmet need for follow-up for women who have undergone this trauma.

It was the result of the years of planning, research, and market analysis by the abortion industry, the culmination of a long term strategy put in place decades earlier. Today, that strategy is playing out in clinics all across America and around the world.

So what was it the abortion industry saw? And what did they hope to accomplish by adding chemical abortifacients to their already deadly arsenal? Here are five reasons behind the abortion industry’s push of the abortion pill and an indication of how far they’ve gotten in fulfilling their awful aims:

Throughout this passing winter season there lingers in the air a certain triumphalism on the part of progressives whose presidential candidate stomped all over both his Republican opponent and advocates of traditional marriage and the sanctity of life. It isn’t a stretch to say that President Barack Obama smacked around the U.S. Catholic bishops and suffered no negative ramifications — on the contrary, he was rewarded. Since the President’s campaign focused inordinately on abortion and contraception, you’d think the purveyors of these would be resting on their laurels. After all, if ever Planned Parenthood could open its own office in the White House, it’d be now. <a title="New Oxford Review: Forty Years After Roe: Have the Tables Finally Turned? Kavanagh
Pastor Emeritus, St. Rose Parish
Executive Director (ret), St. Patrick Home
Sacramento, California

On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, devout Catholics worldwide will be closely watching the Inaugural Mass for Pope Francis, not just because there is a new pope, but because the Obama administration has dared to send Vice-President Joe Biden as the official leader of the delegation for the United States of America, also known as the United States of Abortion.

It is possible that this will be an In-Your-Face moment to embarrass Pope Francis or it will be a magnificent teaching moment in the history of the Catholic Church under the leadership of an informed and faithful Pope Francis.

Vice President Biden has a public record of collaborating with and financially facilitating the abortion industry through the Planned Parenthood organizations, all of which infiltrate Latin America. While Biden has repeatedly advocated a woman’s right to have her unborn child killed, he shamelessly says he is a Catholic.

The burning issue is whether or not Joe Biden and other apostate Catholics in his delegation such as Nancy Pelosi and Loretta Sanchez will attempt to confront the new Pope Francis on the world stage by defying church law, Canon 915, and receive Communion.

Will the ever savvy media wait breathlessly for Biden and Pelosi to move forward with solemn expectation from their seats to receive Communion and then capture the moment of acceptance so that Catholics worldwide will know that the killing of unborn children is now trivialized even more so.

In 1938 when Adolph Hitler, also a man who was raised as a Catholic and then defied the teachings of the church, was on his way to Italy and to Rome, Pope Pius XI refused to welcome him. In fact, the Pope closed the Vatican Museums and left for Castel Gandolfo.

With the agreement of his closest aides, Pius XI let it be known that Hitler could enter the Vatican walls only if he publicly asked for forgiveness for persecuting the Catholic Church in Germany. Of course, Hitler never asked for forgiveness.

It is doubtful, but we could always pray that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi might have a conversion in Rome and ask for forgiveness.

In the meantime, let us hope that pro-abortion politicians like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Loretta Sanchez and others will have the decency not to publicly embarrass Pope Francis, and stay in their seats during distribution of the Eucharist.

As a Catholic priest I have a duty to remind Vice President Joe Biden that the Catholic Church remains steadfast as the faith that respects the sanctity of human life and opposes the medical killing – abortion – of innocent unborn children.

So serious is the sanctity of life that those who hold themselves out as Catholic and then advocate the slaughter of the innocent, are subject to Canon 915 which prohibits reception of the Eucharist for anyone who persists in “manifest grave sin”.

If Vice president Biden betrays the Faith and defies the moral law, then it is clear that his faith is not in the Catholic Faith but in politics of the Democratic Party.

During this Lenten season I will offer prayers for the strength of Pope Francis and the conversion of Joe Biden so that one day our nation will again defend the least of our brethren.

Rabbi Brad L. Bloom, President
Sacramento Interfaith Service Bureau
3720 Folsom Boulevard
Sacramento, CA 95816

Dear Rabbi Bloom:

Your invitation of December 24th to attend an inaugural event on Sunday morning, January 3, 1999, for Governor-Elect Gray Davis causes me profound distress and grave insult.

Surely you must know that Gray Davis is an outspoken, militant champion of violence – the most cold-blooded violence of killing preborn and partially born human beings. He incessantly and obsessively proclaimed his commitment to unrestricted and taxpayer-funded abortion on demand in his TV campaign commercials, debates, campaign position statements and even on his Internet campaign site. He would force every California taxpayer, including all the Catholic bishops, priests and lay people to be his fiscal accomplices in payments to abortionists for over 100,000 Medi-Cal abortions per year (out of about 300,000 to 400,000 abortions per year in California).

Just this Tuesday, December 29, on page A3 of the Sacramento Bee, it was announced that Gray Davis had appointed the militantly pro-abortion Susan Kennedy who had served for six years as the executive director of the California Abortion Rights Action League (CARAL), to “direct his Cabinet” and “serve as a close Davis adviser, organizing Cabinet meetings and acting as liaison between the governor and agency secretaries.” A more extreme and profound empowerment of the abortion movement in the Davis regime can hardly be imagined.

To presume that any true Catholic, and in particular, a Catholic priest and pastor, would violate the moral teachings of the Catholic Faith and the very moral foundation of human rights, and would betray and scandalize the faithful by attending a political function dedicated to a leader of the American Holocaust, is mind boggling. Any Catholic priest and pastor who would publicly give honor and affirmation to Gray Davis would be subject to severe penalties and would rightly expect the just denunciation and harsh censure of not only Catholics, but all who defend the right to life.

While I would never remotely consider attending any anti-Semitic, anti-life political event, I would find it even more outrageous to invite you and any other rabbi, priest, minister, pastor, or religious leader to attend such an event. How is it that you so casually do so not only with me but presumably with many, or even all, other priests in the Sacramento area or diocese?

As you must know, our Sacramento Bishop William K. Weigand has spoken firmly and often against the killing of innocent human beings and we fully support him in this. Gray Davis and his inaugural committee were denied the use of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament for this event (Sacramento Bee, November 25, 1998, p. A4). Rightly so! We also applaud the five Catholics who wrote letters to the editor clearly explaining why Gray Davis was rightfully being denied use of the Cathedral (Sacramento Bee, Sunday, December 13, 1998, Forum 4).

It reminds me of the actions of Pope Pius XI when Adolph Hitler, the recognized leader of Germany, visited Rome in 1938, before World War II, and before Hitler was so widely recognized as a genocidal monster. Pius XI ordered all the Vatican museums with their art treasures to be closed during Mr. Hitler’s visit, to deny him any opportunity for an appearance or semblance (photo “ops” and the like) of approval or acceptance. In fact, the Pope referred to Hitler as “the Nordic pest” and to further shun and snub Hitler, the Pope left Rome.

Recently Pope John Paul II issued an encyclical letter, The Gospel of Life. This was affirmed in November by the Catholic bishops of the United States in a statement entitled Living the Gospel of Life: A Challenge to American Catholics. It stated: “excommunication affects all those who commit this crime (of abortion) with knowledge of the penalty attached, and thus includes those accomplices without whose help the crime would not have been committed. The purpose of the penalty. . . .is to make an individual fully aware of the gravity of a certain sin and then to foster genuine conversion and repentance.”

Certainly those politicians like Gray Davis who not only proclaim a universal right to abortion but demand that taxpayers be fiscal accomplices in the abortion Holocaust are responsible for the fact that California now has an abortion rate twice the rest of the nation, almost one-quarter of all abortions in the United States being committed in California. It is clear that Gray Davis, by promoting what the Pope has called the “Culture of Death” and demanding taxpayers’ money for abortions, has brought on himself automatic excommunication from the Catholic Church.

In California, abortion has a strong racial, genocidal aspect. Abortion mills are disproportionately located in poor and Latino areas of cities, especially in Los Angeles (one need only consult telephone yellow pages ads and other promotions to see this), and marketed in the Spanish language to prey upon young, poor, and undocumented women, especially Catholic latinas and blacks, with Medi-Cal funding providing a strong financial incentive for the greedy mill operators.

I must ask you to reconsider your role in promoting Gray Davis’ political inaugural event and to immediately send out a letter of regret to all the Catholic priests and pastors whom you have invited and encouraged to attend this travesty.

Sincerely,

Monsignor Edward J. Kavanagh

Cc:
Bishop William K. Weigand
Father John Keane, SA, Sacramento Diocesan Director of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs

“Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so when those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother’s womb. And if the public officials not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cries from earth to Heaven (cf. Genesis IV, 10.)” – Pius XI, (Encyclical letter on CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE [67]).
